My sharped eyed brother, Mark, spied a Wren sitting outside the little clay pots we have above our carport.  I got them years ago in Williamsburg and they have occasionally had nests in them, but not recently.   Until now....
I thought our wrens were gone, but I had heard one scolding Bumby in the morning and just assumed it was an adult hanging around still.
Could it be Rita?  Again? Or one of her offspring? Already?
A mystery, but a beautiful one.
Ann,

ReplyDeleteHow sweet! It will be fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteWow ! Another great treat to watch / see / grow !
ReplyDeleteI seen those neat clay pots on another blog I follow that is in WV not far from where I live. They got theirs in Williamsburg too! Those wrens are fast builders. I have a pair that every time the garage door is left open too long they go crazy and build a nest in a cup holder of our mule 4 wheeler. Drives me nuts that they do that! lol Thank God I haven't found eggs in it yet!
