Occasionally we have a small flock of parrots arrive in the courtyard here at Boston Manor, but today we had a very large flock and a very loud one.
They are almost impossible to see amongst the green leaves, but I was able to get some pictures of three friends perched together.
These three seemed to be interested in me as I took some pictures of them.
Sitting together, squawking and cleaning each other.
They have been outside making the biggest racket for a few hours now.
These are Magnolia trees (I believe) and they love the seeds - I must get a picture of them, they are bright red, no wonder they attract these funny birds.

Of course I must share with you, my friends....
Apparently we are living in a jungle!!
Happy week ahead!

I'm waiting for Tarzan to swing out of that tree...or Mr Tennis! BOL!!
That is a raucous sound. I think it might drive me a little nuts! Do the Bostons pay attention to them?
LOL! I love rottrover's comment!!
Oh my! What a noise! I expected to see a monkey swing by!!!!!
Wishing you a nice week.
Welcome to my world! With the. Hi lens and the guineas... It is all birds all the time!

"The mighty jungle sleeps tonight" ~ not. The four legged folks were not " talking" about this ? Do you get lots of these ?
It reminded me of El Valle one of the places were they winter down in Panama. Great blog, now everybody knows what they sound like. Good news is , they do no stay too long.
Got to love rottrover's comment, if they only knew the truth. :-) That is a magnolia from what I can see of the seed pods. That noise would drive me nuts, too, but the birds are pretty. Have a good week. CG
They are so cute....and very loud! I think I remember my aunt having some visit here home in Orange! Great shots.....Debby
This was interesting, Ann, and they certainly are loud. They remind me somewhat of crows, with their comfort level, and noise. and you know I love crows.

Found you! Figured I should find your blog so I hear of news before Richard tells me.
I love your jungle and your 3 Amigos.
So loud! I totally read patriots and was thinking who is visiting? LOL
When the parrots are here in Old Towne, I swear they fly in groups of a hundred plus! They are quite vocal so loud! But they are also so cool to watch!
Take care,
Sue
Oh how very cool! Your very own "tiki room" ...LOL Kit
I wonder if these are Ring Necked parakeets? Do they have a rose ring? We have them all along The Thames here in England, apparently they escaped in Victorian times and have been living in the wild. VERY loud! x
