Although it's not really the rain that has kept me from doing my annual "Boscars" post, it does give me a special thrill to say 'rain delay', since it's such a rare event in CA.
It has rained for four days! Not constantly in our area, but enough to wreak some havoc on the roads and bring down some mud into neighborhoods.
The Oscar organizers in Hollywood have been struggling to get ready for tonight's show. Plastic has been their friend as they put it over everything.
Hollywood Boulevard has been closed for about two weeks as they prepare the red carpet area and it will be interesting to see how they manage it all by broadcast time.
I will have to do a "Boscar Autopsy" later this week (for those who care about such things) - My last week wrangling dogs and training new walkers was really busy and I couldn't get organized for a proper post.
I will say that my hopes for best picture are long shots:
I always root for the low-budget, smaller underdogs.

I am so thrilled that we are having this rain. In a few days we will see our hillsides turn green and I can't wait......

I don't give to hoots about the Oscars...
BUT I LOVE READING YOUR REVIEW And your view point about all the hoopla, the wins and losses...
so when you get the proper post up...and the follow up and the followup to the followup...what'd you call it? "The Boscar Autopsy"

How about that rain, huh? We are getting rain this morning. And freeze warnings.
I saw fog lifting off my neighbors pond and went out to take a couple of pictures, but it was so cold. That NORTH wind was really biting!
By the time I made it back to the porch, it was sleeting so slightly!
Crazy, crazy weather. :)

Not sure if you saw my Thursday Oscar themed post. You and I are rooting for the same underdog!
Alyssa and I are pro Jared and Matthew all the way and want Lupita for BSA. No one impressed in the Best actress category but we love J Law. :)
Although we fell asleep for those movies, Mom and Aunt V watched Dallas Buyers Club and they really liked it. And they also liked American Hustle. We just wanna know where is the popcorn? Bol.

Since I have not seen them all yet I can't say I have a favorite. Some movies have to be seen a few times to really appreciate ~ IMHO . I enjoy reading about all the adventures on the west coast ~ of the US. ( Sometimes folks around here will talk about the west coast and forget to say the west coast of Florida. Countdown to Oscars 2 hours 45 minutes from now on regular Florida time !

i am all settled in for some Oscar red carpet, and I thought it looked a little grey. I forgot about all this rain happening there. a shame to think of all the money and time spent on hair and makeup to have it ruined in yucky weather.
I am hoping jared leto wins, and I already told you I think American hustle was nothing special.
