Orange I Getting Frustrated?

As I said earlier this week I finally figured out why the oranges on the tree in our backyard are so small.
I kept waiting for them to get bigger, mature and ripen.

If I could smack my forehead with the palm of my hand I would because the answer was so obvious everytime I walked into the grocery strore.

This is a Mandarin Orange tree. The oranges are so small and easy to peel and taste delicious.

Now I just have to try and get to them before they go bad.

Lemon tree has really taken off.

I've been squeezing lemon in and on a lot of things and the peels deodorize the garbage disposal.

So now for a brief (yeah, right, she'll be brief) update on "fingergate".  Surgery was scheduled for Thursday morning, but I was to go to my primary care to get the okay, bloodwork, chest x-rays,etc.  I told her I was glad to be getting the chest x-ray because I was having such a difficult time with my asthma.

Long story short:  I have pnuemonia! No wonder I've been short of breath and so tired!  She was skeptical about me going ahead with the surgery even though it was going to require just a local anethestia . She consulted with the anesthesiologist and they have concluded that my surgery will have to wait until she gives to go ahead, hopefully next week.

In the meantime, I'm to rest, take my meds, and not go stand on the red carpet. Now, wait a minute....  Last directive was from Mr.Tennis who I suspect is taking the opportunity to keep me away from Mr. Bradley Cooper.

Rats!!

Double Rats!!!

This means I will have time on my one good hand to work on "The Boscars".  My take on the Academy Awards.

 Oh you lucky people, you.

Mark and I were just talking about getting a lemon tree. I use a lemon daily and would use more if I didn't have to buy them! Take care, rest up and feel better soon.

Hope you are feeling better, I would love to have your backyard, lots of surprises. I put lemon juice in icecube trays when frozen put them in ziplock bags and use them when needed. Hard to do that with one hand right?

I am orange and yellow with envy over the citrus trees. You rest up and get better. I was unaware you have asthma. I would not want you to to have surgery right this minute either.

Now just a ding dong minute! Pneumonia??!! The broken finger wasn't enough? Sheesh!
Too bad about the red carpet though.
Fingergate!!! ROFL!!!
I love the monocle on the Boston!!
You have a wonderful sense of humor and a very good attitude, especially being sick and broken!
Oranges and lemons!! super, that is so cool!
Lemons are great, not just for cleansing the drains, but for keeping negative energy at bay.

Ann,
I'm so sorry about the pneumonia.
Make sure you do take it easy, and yes, chicken soup, liquids, and those oranges should be definitely apart of your get better scheme.
Now, those oranges and lemons are amazing! What a treasure, in your own backyard!
I love the pictures of Stanley getting to know new friends at the dogpark - they look like a very friendly, good bunch.
Stanley always looks so happy in his pictures - he must be a prize!
Ann, you are really amazing, someone who seems to take to heart the sentiment "If life gives you lemons make lemonade" (And of course you will soon be better, with a finger as good as new, with all this behind you.
And as far as the Red Carpet, there is always next year, right?

How wonderful you have these oranges...
Lots of vitamin "C" for you. Hope you get well.
Also, add some vinegar to the covered rinds; let sit a couple of weeks up to 1 month, strain, and put it in a squirt bottle for a great degreaser cleaner!
besides vinegar--FREE!

Now, get Well! and lets get you mended. :)
blessings, and have fun playing with your photos and Boscars!

Oh my gosh - I am so sorry - no wonder you couldn't breathe!

Wait on the surgery.

I wish I had some tangerines and lemons.

Guess Brad will have to wait too.
