This is Your Chance to be Brutally Honest!

I don't ask you to tell me what you think of this:

I demand it!

In case you don't realize what it is, it is a light fixture that hangs above the dining room table at our new rental.

I would like to make the effort to replace it with my old IKEA chandy that I brought with me to California. (Well, I should rephrase that:  I would like Mr. Tennis to make the effort to replace it while I supervise and encourage.)

Do you like this fixture? Or, are you like Bumby and me?

Totally mystified and baffled by it's design and presence....

Now someone will tell me it's a well known classic design and I should be grateful to have it, right?

Bumby's expression says it all. It kinda looks like a stick figure version of a light fixture!

I personally kind of like it. Its definitely quirky and has a stick woodsy type feel to me.

ps. if you happen to be talking to cousin Chad you may mention that Erika is thinking about a visit to Perth around Christmas time.

Kind of creepy...Tesla coil- Mad Scientist-Vibe going on there.

Maybe replacing the glass shades with...HUGE MASON JARS?
Well, no...you're putting a chandy there.
so... now you have to store this thing? Hmmm... I don't know what to think about it.

...no help, sorry. Pat

I'm not sure what I think...it does have sort of a woodsy look. I guess I'd have to see it in the room...but if you don't like it, I'd go with the other one!

Definitely would need to see the room but I like it. It looks nice and solid, well made. Quirky.

I like it-kind of primitive meets glass. But you must live with what you love my friend.

Even if it is "a well known classic design" (which it's not) the fact is why live with something that doesn't make your heart sing?

Well it is a conversation piece ! How much wine was consumed as this was designed ? What does the replacement look like ? If no one likes it ~ change it !

Ditch it.

That thing has got to go! Major ugly. Have to agree with Laura Gunn, if it doesn't make your heart sing and you have the means to replace it do it. Have fun Mr. T. :-)

I do like the primitive look of it (it's really unique)but if it doesn't go with your furniture than you should replace it!

Well, It is different/ Does it go with the rest 0f the furniture you have. Is it pleasant to the eye. two good things to go by/ It would not go with what I have.

I do sort of like it, but it took me awhile to understand what it is, when just looking at the picture, I admit.
I like it so to speak, but wouldn't want it above my table, I think.

I think it's interesting, but I'm with you and Bumby. Time for a change.

Well, here is my answer, I personally like quirky and such but this lamp just leaves me feeling like...Huh????? But it comes down to what you like, change it out if it doesn't make you smile. Kit

Ha ha! Love that 'look' on Bumby's face! Cats have such grand taste. It is odd, that I will agree. As if it has been dropped or bent. If it were mine I would hang a lot of ivy and things on it to disguise. Or, better yet, as you say, replace! x
