15 Days Before the Big Day - And Some Perfect Timing

This time in two weeks, the rehearsal will be over, my house will be full of people for the rehearsal dinner, and hopefully most of the details will have fallen into place.

So, yes, two weeks to whip my house in shape, wash some windows, arrange the furniture to accommodate at least 30 people in my smallish home.  A good time to have my lower back go out.

Yes, you heard that correctly. My back. Is out.

I'm doing the ice/heat/ice game. Popping Ibuprofen and trying not to think about it all.

On the good side, I have caught up with all my recorded shows, finished fraying the burlap table overlays and started washing the pretty vintage wedding cake china.  I can do these things since I can recline and stand, just not sit for long periods.

A few days of rest and playing the heat/ice game and I will be up and running full speed.
Just thought I would elicit some sympathy from my faithful readers.

On an even better side look what came in the mail!

The beautiful piece of artwork I won in a giveaway on Laura's  Decor to Adore blog.
Just beautiful. So intricate. Can you see the initials and the date on the hearts without the print on them?

Yes, of course this has a tie-in to THE wedding!  Even more perfect that the printed hearts are cut from the pages of a vintage dictionary - since my son is The Writer - perfect!

Please pay a visit to Michelle Kann's etsy site to admire her talent and vision.

Big thanks to Laura and Michelle for helping us mark this important date in our family.

Now totally off topic...

Do you think this writing on the top of the bin holding the china will do the trick?  I actually have worries about it's safety.  Well padded and hopefully protected.

Boston Lady out, on the couch.

This concludes my whining session mingled with gratitude and concern.

Feel better...it's must....my trick for bad back is to lay on my back on the bed. Gently have hubby raise your legs by holding ankles and pull your feet up and over towards your face. Gently pushing (very gently) and slowly this stretches and decompresses your spine...works for me...please be careful if you try it.

Love the wedding picture. Simple but lovley idea.

I'm sorry to hear about your back girl! Mine does the same thing when I do too much. Take it easy. Things will fall into place. Hire some help if you need it. Better to be feeling good than to be laid up in bed on the big day!

Hugs,
Angela

Ann,
Sorry to hear about your back - take care, rest, and I think I concur with the others here, you might want to solicit some help with your work, just to make sure you will enjoy the day.

As you know, you are a million times more important to your son, and family than a few clean windows.

Please forgive this preaching... it really sounds as though you have everything in hand.

What a lovely piece of art - you received.

Take it easy, Ann, and I hope your back will be feeling better soon!

Thanks so much for checking in on my blog, today, and your friendly comments.
Hugs,
Brenda

Oh my gosh time just seems to fly, 15 days until the wedding. Well you can always organize things in your brain and on paper that way you can have Mr. Tennis complete them for you! LOL
