Fun Stuff...

Some times you just walk in the thrift and something perfect is waiting there for you....

Also put to use my pail that came from California with me last month.  One of my smart readers
suggested yellow Marigolds and when I saw some for sale at a local
garden store I decided to try the look.

Thanks for the suggestion, Brenda at Mullin Avenue Workshop!

It looks kinda nice by my swing in the backyard, but I may have to move it to the
front porch to share with more people.

Found this interesting can last week while out hunting around with my friend Country Mouse.  I love the vivid blue and I think I have found the perfect picture to prop up against it.

He was born three months early, but he is quickly catching up.
He looks like such a little imp in this picture.

Finally, I saw my friend Suebee this week and she presented me with something
she found that she knew I would like.

See the "Made in Canada" pressed into the glass top and the crown?

It also says it on the front, but it's hard to see in the picture I took.
Thanks Suebee!  She's always watching out for Canadian things for me...

So, what fun things have you found lately?  Or what fun things do you have planned?
Have a great weekend!

Love the plate and the jar. Just finished season one of Downton Abbey. Love it and would gladly sit through hours more. Going to yard sales in the morning-yay.

Love the plate. I had the cutest little wall plaque of a Boston to send to you and I busted it. Slap me!
I love your pail! I wanna go junkin!

Crown jars are simply the best....you can tell the date it was made because they changed the crowns over the years......

Ann,
These are great finds.
I hope you enjoy the marigolds, and thanks for your mention of me.
The plate with the 2 Bostons is a perfect find for you!
Sebastian DOES look very impish in the photo - a sweet heart indeed!
I've never seen these particular kind of mason jars, they are great, and I love the Canadian connection! :)
This weekend I'm going for a light lunch at Tim Hortons, with a friend, as I received a lovely gift card for this coffee shop, from one of the parents where I work - Tim Hortons is another Canadian connection. :)
Wishing you a great weekend!

When did the " Bostons" pose for the picture on the plate? Great plan for the bucket- looks good. The "Blue pail" is really a LUNCH PAIL . I believe you will see them or something very very similiar when you look at old pictures of miners going to work ~ as an example ~ of coure you have to go back about 80 /90 years to see good ones !

Salivating. I have collected the crown jars for a few years now. I store my buttons and ribbons in them and am always on the hunt for more. Enjoy!

That plate was just waiting for you to come along! What fun. My little blue enamel bowl I picked up when we were together is holding white flowers for me. Glad you are feeling better - keep up the good work!

I was at Macy's today and seen a purse and a few things with Bostons on them. They reminded me of you!
