I grew up with cats and Mr. Tennis grew up with dogs. It's as simple as that. When we met in college it was one area where we didn't see eye to eye. Our first dog, Ziggy, the German Shepherd taught me all about the canine ways and I found out how wonderful that species can be. We have had a succession of dogs every since throughout our almost 30 year marriage.
Our first cat (as a couple) was Cheetah, a beautiful calico. I like to think Mr. Tennis came to enjoy the feline ways and appreciate their unique differences to dogs. He cried right along beside me when we had to have Cheetah put to sleep, just as he did with Ziggy and numerous other felines and canines along the way.
Shopping a few months ago I came across a couple of cute signs and I knew I had finally found what I wanted to hang in my interior window "shutters" that I put up several months ago in our bedroom.
and "my" sign hangs on my side, I think they represent that two people can appreciate and learn to love one another's pet preferences.
And indeed we did! Four dogs, 5 cats and two people who learned along the way that each species has something to love and enjoy. And as the sign says, they've made us laugh a lot too! (Not to mention numerous hamsters, birds, reptiles and fish).
Now, if we could just get our bed back from the miscreants who have brazenly taken it over...

Cats /dogs ~ aren't they great. You ALWAYS have someone to talk to and THEY always have the right answer. Great company ~ most of the time !
Ahahaha who is the most wonderful kitty caught bathing on your bed?? Mommy and the roommates taught that it is not allowed to bathe or play on the bed. It is for sleeping only or homework or dvds. But I do love your kitty sign on your bed I think it would be lovely to play with whoops I meant sleep with. Mom says she loves the signs and would have to hang both on her side since she can't decide whether she is a cat or dog lover, she loves us all.
Your bed? I think NOT! lol It appears to me that THEY let YOU sleep in THEIR bed! hehehe
Did they all get in there at the same time? I mean do you look around and think where are they all at and then go looking for them to find them in THEIR bed? lol

Ha! I am the cat one but Joe appreciates Clovis more and more. I love those signs. It is great you have so many pets to love. I have trouble getting my one to the vet on time. ♥o
I am a dog lover. Don had cats and still would like one, but I'm allergic. He loves dogs, too.
