I Wasn't Always The Boston Lady

My first cat, Socks.  I am about 3 years old in this picture which was taken in my father's den in our home in Toronto.

Socks arrived before I was born and my mother used to tell me how she would weave her way through my playpen bars to stop me from crying - also, I would feed her my Arrowroots (remember those?).

Linking to Angela's Tuesday Show & Tail - I hope!

Ohh this kitty sounds like a good one. My mom says she remembers arrowroots (cookies and bars)and says that you can still buy them, which she does (cookies)!

Ann,
This is a lovely picture, and what a sweet and thoughtful, little child you look to be!!!
It looks like your love of animals started early, and this lovely animal, Socks looks like a treasure.
(I'm abit envious, I and my brothers attempted to bring into our home several stray cats to no avail.)

You can still buy arrow roots, we serve them to our children at the daycare, and they are still popular. Do you remember the small snack sized boxes of animal crackers?

You were a cutie pie and had a love for animals - whether it be cats or dogs and they obvioulsy loved you back.

I don't remember arrow roots - I'll have to look them up.

Arrowroots...? I don't remember those. I love this picture of you though. Too cute! The cat is huge! How did he fit in between any bars? haha

What a cute picture! Looks like Socks thought she was your second mommy! That is so sweet! I had a cat when I was little but it hated me. It would bite me when I was asleep.
