A Walk Around a Pretty Hollywood Neighborhood

Our area of the Hollywood Hills was not the "fanciest" part (read really high-end by CA standards), but we sure felt special and the homes were so pretty and expensive by our standards.

I finally took my camera on a walk at dusk with The Maven and Stanley the Greyhound and took pictures of some of my favorites.

I had to return this morning to get a picture of my favorite because it was very blurry in my first attempt.
It will be the last picture of the pretty bungalows that line these streets.

Oh My Gosh! Can You Imagine!!!????

For you distressed wood-lovers...

I love this fence with the hedge growing through it!  Hey there's Stan and The Maven...

Well, this was one of my favorites, I think it looked better in person, but they all look so great.  What a wonderful neighborhood.

And Stanley loved it too!

Today we headed for the desert!  The newlyweds will get here late tonight after working all day, but we have been fortunate enough to get here and settle in.  What a wonderful place!  Dry!  Like you wouldn't believe!
The owners advised us to use their humidifiers to put some moisture in the air and we have certainly done that since we are Floridians who are used to their humidity.  What a difference...
A sneak peek at this unique property...

Boston Lady reporting somewhere near Joshua Tree National Park. And loving it!
Out!

Hey! And look who will be in Florida when I get home!!

Who's going to help me give them all a great Florida welcome - or rather send off
by the time I get home!!!??

I would pick the Spanish style one built into the hillside....I would lose ten pounds the first year living there just getting to the front door every day.

Ann,
This is surely an interesting neighbourhood - several different styles. I liked the Craftsman style houses as well, and also the rosebush, in front of one of the homes. It looks like spring has started, with lots of flowering shrubs and trees.
I think the huge house with the stone or brick wall (one of your favourites) is wonderful.
It looks like Stanley is having a good vacation as well, while his Mom and Dad work!

Mom's in love mostly because they all look nice and warm. We just had a big winter storm here and its minus 20 Celsius BRRR. Enjoy your trip, the desert should be fun, watch out for lizards! You can mention to Chad that we hope he is enjoying his travels too. Mom's too big of a chicken to travel anywhere too far from home (perhaps if she had a travel buddy) but she plans on going to the east coast this summer to stick her toes in the ocean! If Chad has email maybe he can email Mom pictures and tell her all the fun he is having, her email is journey-blog@hotmail.com.

ps. Shall we ship you some snow? we have lots now!
