Good News!

When I got up this morning-Friday the 13th, I might add-and read all the wonderful comments on my HH post/rant, I had no idea that within a seven hour period, starting at 10am today, we would have people come look at the house, want to come back and look again 2 hours after they left, make an offer within an hour of that, we counter offered and by 5 o'clock this afternoon we accepted an offer for our asking price!

I know that's a run on sentence, but so what!!!!

So, now we have an inspection to go through next week and a closing date towards the end of August.  I know it's not done until it's done, but we feel really great/sad/excited/scared/stressed/relaxed.  Well, at least I do, Mr. Tennis takes these things more in stride and is happy that he gets to play his Saturday tennis game tomorrow and not come home to a neurotic wife, feverishly cleaning and fluffing.

And, me?  Well, I can't tell you how tickled I (although I wanted to take it with me, but am glad someone else liked it as much as I do) was when the buyers said they wanted to include this in the contract:

Bought it at the thrift right before we had the wedding reception in our backyard last September...

It's all good.

Oh, and they have a Boggle.
A Boston Terrier/Beagle mix.
Niiiice!

You know I just had a feeling that your house would sell fast. I know it was loved, and clean, and well taken care of.

YIPPEE!

I wish you the best out in old California!

Love, sandie

Well you were not just selling a house you sold a HOME enviroment, a team effort, Mr. Tennis kept the yard inmaculate, Wendy kept her room nice, critter were like ornaments making the place look peaceful and can not say enough about The Boston Ladys role, putting it all together, and keeping the place appealing at all times, her charm and counnicating skills. Congratulation to all and may the sale pending sign become SOLD

Well there goes the FEAR of Friday the 13th. YEAH MORE YEAH AND A LOT MORE YEAH ! Now starts the other hard part ~ what to move ~ is it worth moving ~ how much will cost to move that as opposed to selling it and buying another in Calif ? ? ? ? NICE JOB but as the saying goes it" ain't over until the fat lady sings " ( show me the $$$$ ) ! ! !

You have a beautiful home. I think the fact that they want the swing says it all. They want a place that is REAL and comfy...they are ready to make some memories there!

YIPPEEE! I'm happy for you.

Woo hoo! Nothing like having a house sale move right along. Hopefully the financing and everything works out OK.

Ann,
This is happy news!

I agree, that it is nice that the couple want the swing.

And, yes, your house sold as a lovely "home".

I have to say it too - YIPPIE!

Just a few more details, and hopefully all will be complete soon!
