Oops I Did It Again...And I'm Happy About It

My name is Ann and I am a Blue Ball Jar addict.
Okay, there are worse things to be addicted to, and I always try to not go above a certain price when I purchase one.
But.
This one was special.

Can you see it on my desk?

I love how people are re-purposing these beautiful jars and this one caught my eye immediately while browsing with CG one day at a local shop.

I bought it because I love it, and I want to make more of them at some point.  Perhaps to sell.
Now, YOU can see how simple this is to do too!

Let's face it.
I couldn't wait to make one of my own and I just wanted it and it's not that big to pack.

Besides, Bumby loves it!

I have that song in my head now... thanks to you.
In our family we call that Cranial Terrorism! Shame on you.
I like the lamp. I've always wanted to make a lamp out of something quirky or unusual. I love how you used this jar. Yes, speaking of easy to pack up and carry.

I'm thinking and thinking about your gift ...I've got a few things in mind...but I'll probably wait and send it out Cali-fory way...what do you think? Not to mention...it has to be hand made...so I'm nowhere near ready!

I love these too. I have a tub full. I have used them for party decor more times than you can shake a stick at. Love the lamp!

Ann,
This jar lamp is so pretty. Did you fix it up, or buy it as a jar?
I can see why Bumby likes it, as it is clear, and so reflects the lamplight prettily.
I would bring it along just for her, like you. :)
Bumbey looks peaceful and calm here, such a nice catch of a photo.

Yes, you can pack that pretty and make it too. I want one of the ones made into a soap dispenser.

I love the blue jars, too--and have a lamp made from one much like yours! I filled mine with old wooden spools of thread.

I have a collection, purchased before they got too expensive to buy here....they are treasures.

What a great idea. Best of luck with the move.

A couple of us started a thing with canning jars....you may or may not be interested but here is the link on my blog ( which leads to 2 other links / and what it is going to end up as is a sort of random and fun gift exchange linky party ...though nothing formal. See what you think. Since your post involved a Ball Jar I thought that you might want to check it out . The original recipient that I sent a jar to is crafty like you and she has a bazillion posts about things to do with Mason jars...and that's how it started, lol.
