Once a year (and I am assuming this is the time of year) these Bromeliads in my backyard sprout spectacular blooms.
They are very waxy and seem like they would last forever, but alas, they only stick around for about a week.
They have a very ugly death which I will spare you, but wanted to share them at their peak. They are always a surprise to me when they show up. (The soft focus is due to very humid and hot conditions that my camera did not like)
Speaking of surprises.... look who showed up at my house to help me wrestle with some burlap that we are making into table-toppers for (the wedding). That's me whispering because I vowed I would do a post without mentioning IT.
But when my very own guardian angel showed up, complete with wings, I knew I'd have to post this picture.
Thanks CG!
Everyone have a great weekend.

The bromeliads really ARE spectacular! So tropical looking! We could all use a guardian angel like that!
Who was that? Glad she showed up though.
As I have said I believe in Angels. I have one a pops up in my life once in a while and soothes things for me. That angel also write a blog.
Here's a pass for "She can talk all she wants about the wedding for the next two months". :) I want to hear it all !!!!
Way to go, Angel CG! Can't wait for this wedding - it has been so much fun seeing the preparations.
