An Easy Project

You may remember the thrift store frame we acquired for THE wedding.  The one Mr. Tennis didn't see for 5 days.  Well, he definitely notices it now because I gave it a little makeover this week.

The hardest part was cleaning the dirt and dust from all the carving.

Used a damp sponge and blotted dry with paper towel.

Now comes the easy part!  I had bought a small container of metallic gold acrylic paint.  My dilema was what to use as a brush since I wanted it to be very light and not totally coat the original finish.  Enter an old blush brush - yes, such things exist in my home, believe it or not my friends.

It had the light feathery touch that I wanted to embellish this lovely mirror's frame.

Quick back and forth strokes gave me just the right amount of coverage and I think the finished product looks really great.

How do you like it?
