I Went on a Cruise and Didn't Take Pictures!

I was a bad blogger over the weekend.
Mr. Tennis, The Maven and I went on a short cruise to close out The Maven's summer of hard work and school and although I brought my camera I didn't take pictures.

When I got aboard I fully intended to document our adventure "Boston Lady" style.

But then the thought of being totally out of reach - no phones, no computers, no newspapers, no tv appealed to me.  I decided to have a short Blog-free vacation and didn't take pictures.

Sometimes I miss the real action when we vacation because I'm too focused on "getting the shot".  Not this time.  And it had a certain sense of relaxation of it's own - not being "the documenter and photographer".

I have lots of pictures in my head and they show that we had fun, did something new (jet skiied), listened to good music, had some good food and met some new people!

But don't worry - next week Mr. T and I head to Las Vegas for a business conference.  I want to find the "real" Las Vegas off the strip and that's what I intend to do!

In the meantime - my camera battery is charging for the week ahead and what it may bring....

You know I have been there and I am sure all of us have felt the same way - and I'm glad you decided to take a vacation for yourself. We need to do that once in awhile and I love the way you said so you could be living in the moment!

Sounds like you are enjoying life, Ann! I am leaving my camera at home a lot, too!

I'm glad you had a good, carefree time. I know exactly what you mean about being free to enjoy and soak up your memories without the added responsibility of having to take this shot or that...blogging can get to be quite overwhelming, which is why I don't do it every day! It reminds me too much of work if I did it daily!

My rule is always take my camera...and you did.
It's OK to not take pictures. When I'm away from blogging and return I get that wonderful feeling again of loving blogging!
