The Sacred Cow - Or T & L Hit the Road

So, my brother, Richard, see here, wondered why, we haven't named The Maven's car, since I am known for naming things.  After some discussion, Thelma and I (Louise) decided, since we had a cow antenna topper already on hand, to name her car "The Sacred Cow".  It's kind of an inside joke, but not too hard to figure out for those who are resourceful.

Besides, Thelma's car used to be mine.  I used to have "cow-type" seat covers and this same antenna topper graced "my" car.  I was into the black and white theme because of the Bostons. Okay. Weird, but when I have a theme in mind, I run with it.

Anyway, The Maven and I will take off in "The Sacred Cow" about 6:30 am Monday morning.

Our goal is New Orleans for our first night.  We will have an hour grace period. We can get a later start the next morning and take it easier the next four days.  What can we say... We have to do something Thelma and Louisish!

Not sure how the blogging will go along the way.  We have friends and family wanting to see what we see along the way and we will do our best, but at the end I know we will be looking at sights such as this from the beautiful California coast:

How jealous am I!! I would love to take a road trip some day, but of course to the opposite coast. If you want ideas what to to see in sunny CA, let me know. Born and raised her in Southern CA. Have an awesome time, and looking forward to hearing about your trip!

Take care, Sue

I am looking forward to seeing Thelma & Louise. You should stop in Vegas on the way in. I know you want to hit those penny slots.

That pic of the cow is really good, by the way.

Oh you girls will have so much fun. How exciting for Thelma, an adventure in life. Be safe and bring me a shell from the west coast if you touch the ocean over there.
